novemBER 18, 2023

LOCATION: Chestnut Ridge Sewing Center, 5079 Township Rd 401, Millersburg, OH 44654

PROGRAM: "How Would You Quilt This" Bring in your quilt tops and we will have a group discussion about the designs to use for quilting.

Also, Sue Carlisle will talk about a quilt batting project for next year. Members will be encouraged to participate in the process of creating samples of many types of different battings so that we can discuss the various qualities of each and when they are appropriate to use in a quilt.

SEPTEMBER 16, 2023



HOST: Colleen Spalding

TIME: Meeting at 11:00 am - you can arrive as early as 8am and stay until late afternoon

LOCATION: Somewhere Sewing, 11004 County Road 320 Millersburg, OH 44654 (330) 674-1677

PROGRAM: We have the large meeting room all day. You can bring your machine and sew your own projects all day.

We will have discussions on whole-cloth quilts and how to draft out the design on paper. Large pieces of paper will be provided. Bring pencils and erasers if you wish. Also bring whole-cloth quilts you've done to show examples.

PROGRAM: We will have a longarm available. We will discuss grid work on the longarm and encourage members to share their techniques.

Bring your favorite rules to demonstrate and discuss. Members who have taken classes can discuss/demonstrate the techniques they learned. Someone from the store will share a bit with us related to the longarm related products.

LOCATION: Susan's home studio (members can find the address in our Groups.i.o database

PROGRAM: 1) We will have a discussion on how you organize/prioritize your quilting projects.

2) Since we have Susan's longarm to play with, she will load up a practice quilt sandwich and divide it into sections so that members can demonstrate their favorite fillers and sashing / border designs. We will draw numbers to see who gets to go first.

3) Members can demonstrate ways in which they use their longarm for things other than quilting, such as applying binding.
