Burton Quilt Show
The show is on June 18 and 19, the weekend of our June meeting.  Janice Kiser will be manning some space at the Burton
Quilt show and asked that anyone with items to sell or hand out (advertising brochures, business cards, etc.) get them to her
before that time.

OLAQ June meeting
Anna Bachtel is handling the lunch menu reservations for the June meeting and orders must be placed with her by June
13th. See the website for the
menu copy. Carol Selepek will present a program and there is a fee of $7. per member. Carol
will present a trunk show of her quilts and will quilt a top that will be donated to Quilts of Valor.  She will show how to quilt
each block differently.   Members who did not attend today's meeting can pay by sending a check to our Treasurer, Linda
Cline

Airtex Batting Samples
Anyone who has not received their Airtex batting samples should notify Mary Zeitz. She will be forwarding the names to the
representative and asking that they extend their special offer through the end of June. Those who received their samples
also got a discount coupon. Check with Linda Cline about possibly combining orders for a bulk rate and saving on shipping
charges.

NEOQC
Sarah Bristline reported that the NEOROQ directory change classification for our group has been changed from
show/service to regular quild.   She will see that their website is updated to reflect the change, also.

Lake Farmpark Quilt Show
Following our prior discussion from the Lake Farm Park show and how to allow us to express our concerns to groups
sponsoring quilt shows about no recognition of the quilters, Diane Wantz and Peggy Dudash are awaiting a form letter from
IMQA specifically for this purpose .

June 2006 Meeting
Discussion about the June 17, 2006 meeting with NQA judge, Fran Kordek resulted in several decisions. A motion was
presented by Sarah Bistline that cost to members will be $15, and members must sign up by the end of February. At the
beginning of March it will be opened to non-members and their cost will be $25. The motion was seconded by Janice Kiser.
It was passed by a unanimous voice vote. There will be a potluck luncheon for the meeting. Linda Bennett, PR Committee
Chairperson, will be contacted by Mary Zeitz about a publicity flyer. The program presented will be on general judging
techniques we, as quilters, need to be aware of and then her constructive criticism of quilts that we bring for her to use as
teaching tools. Concerns were expressed about how large a group we could have and still be close enough to see and
learn. The general consensus was that we would rather it be a smaller group with greater learning opportunity than have it
be a big money maker. However, since there is little enthusiasm for doing fund raising events, this would be an easy way to
raise money by having non-members attend.  Nora Brant and Ellie Monroe are hosting this meeting and will evaluate the
room for these concerns and get back to us at the June meeting. It will be held at the Mantua Center Christian Church, 4118
State Route 82 about a mile west of State Route 44.

Presentation Equipment
To help with presenting a program, especially when we have a large group, it was suggested that we look into purchasing a
microphone and speaker.  Sara Bristline reported that NEOROQ has portable microphones which can be rented for about
$100.  Since we plan to have several event in the future where this would be useful, Mary Zeitz will look into the price of such
items.  Other items, such as video cameras and monitors are much too expensive for us.

Linda Cline reported no changes in the previous bank balance as checks have not been deposited yet or DeLoa Jones paid
for her program.  Check the Treasury page on the website for an update soon.

No reports from other committees we given. Appreciation was expressed for all the work Pat Waldron did to set up the
DeLoa Jones workshop.

Fat quarter drawing for animal fabric was won by Pat Waldron.

We all enjoyed show and tell and the meeting was adjourned for lunch at Camp Mowana's lodge to be followed by DeLoa
one's presentation on using stencils.
